Massive pulloff runs?

I've been trying to figure out how to do massive pulloff runs down one string, i.e. in bars 114 to 115 in this solo: (Played at 208bpm) However, I'm not sure how I should shift my hand or place my fingers as the pulloff run moves towards the head of the guitar. (A solo like this would employ the use of pulloffs, wouldn't it?) Should I shift my whole hand back after each triplet or use a combination of pinky / ring finger pulloffs while sliding my index finger back? Position shifts like this is probably one of the hardest things to execute evenly. Like you said, you have to change postion after each group of triplets. The way I would tackle practcing this, would be to play each group of triplets twice before shifting position.
