It's hard to see your pick hand, to see how much pick you are using on the string, or even 'showing'.
I know when I how my pick I show about 5mm of my pick. I used to hold it between my thumb and both my index and middle finger, it took me a while to break that habit and just use the side of my index finger and my thumb, but that really helped with speed and less tension. Well, based on the second video, it seems that your index finger is too close to the head of the pick.. I think that this could be a problem because maybe this finger is muting the string a bit. Your hand should be a bit more relaxed, yes, tension is another problem there. At the same time you are picking too fast, you should start slower trying to get a regular timing and the same volume for upstrokes and downstrokes.
