This was for something on Reddit/r/guitarpro (HERE), but thought it was worth sharing here:
This is the way I create drum midi files that I export to midi and import in Reaper (DAW), then use Superior Drummer 3 etc. make some adjustments and such and end up with things like this (slightly old, but yeah...): I'm not a drummer (and don't have immediate access to any prog drummer), so this was a great way for me to do it. I know music theory for and can read the sheet music for drums etc., something that has been greatly enhanced by using GP for all those years, by the way. yeah you're understanding of rhythm and rhythm notation is impressive. Reading music it's the note duration and rests etc that I find hard, but then I don't put the time in to improve!
