By the request of our own Mr.Milencovic, today's review of computer amp simulators is Amplitubes Fender, that is actually a collaboration between the two company's in order to create a top-notch product.

I really enjoyed this one Staffy. I must buy this amp collection as in the normal Amplitube I am starting to get bored of those default ones.

Great review Staffy, I always like to hear other people's opinion on the software I use, since everybody reacts differently, and everybody experienced various gear, so something can always be learned when reading. Another great (and I can freely say spot on) review of this great software.
From the moment I got it, it has been my number one software modeler, and I have it in my Nuendo templates by default on the sends of guitar tracks. - The thing I like about it is the dynamics. They just made a great sounding simulation with the sound that bounces nicely. This bouncing is very similar to what can be heard out of a real guitar amp. - Reverbs are done nicely as well, tho better versions can be found for final mixing, as a default monitoring reverb for recording it is very good One thing to note is what you already said - this is Fender emulation only, so it is limited. Lots of sounds can be achieved, yes, but the product is mostly vintage tone oriented. Cleans are excellent tho, as you said, even the hardest of metal players will benefit with cleans here greatly, and I have managed to make a nice metal presets as well (tho GR3 or even VAR can be a lot more versatile here). For everyone who are interested in using some good overdrive simulation with AF, I warmly recommend TSS plugin. The creators did a great job of studying the circuitry and emulating the TS design and tone. Definitely something to tryout, specially because it is free  Here's the link:http://www.bteaudio.com/software/TSS.zip One thing to know, is that there is now an upgraded version out, and they fixed some important things, so that now there is a reverb available in the end of the chain (as a rack modeling), along side with some other changes. The dynamics is really what differs it from the other one I tested, which were much "flatter" in the response. I was having a ball when testing it and will definitely use it for some recordings. As You say, that's nothing "wrong" bout the reverbs, they sound as spring-reverbs use to, but I think a real good digital reverb is better in the final mix.
