I feel relic guitars look very cool, but I feel it must be done by yourself through playing and gigging. While Frusciante's guitar hasn't been played exclusively by him, I feel it pretty much looks like the perfect strat visually. One with a story and history. If I ever get a strat, I'd buy it new and play it so much it ends up like that in 20 years.
