I just recently renewed my guitarmasterclass.net membership after a 6 month hiatus from the site due to lack of funds. I missed the break down of all of the original riffs and licks from the instructors. This site has the most bang for the buck. My name is Roger from South Portland, ME (USA) and I have been playing guitar for 5 years. It has only been in the last year that I have taken my practice time seriously. Before I played guitar, I was in a few garage bands as a bass player. I was fortunate enough to have recorded a couple of CD's with my long time friend. So I had some knowledge of music. What I lacked was technique, ear training, and time management.

I currently have crap in regards to gear. I have a Gibson SG raw Power Model and a Fender 25R amp. I've played this guitar so much that the paint is stripped from the back of the neck all the way down to the body. In order to get the guitar price under a $1,000 dollars, Gibson cut corners on the paint jobs. I could care less what it looks like as long as it plays so I am happy.

Hope to meet many of you soon,

Roger from Maine

Hi Roger, great to meet you smile.gif

The SG sounds pretty good... the pain stripping just shows character and lots of use (at least that's what you tell people wink.gif)

What kind of music/guitarists are you interested in ?

Hi Roger!! Welcome back!!! If it's a Giibson SG, it should sound good! I have never tried a Gibson that sound bad... there are some ones that are better than others but the average is always good.

Welcome back! This site is by far the best bang for any guitar buck! It's an AWESOME place to be as a musician. I've been teaching here for a few years now and I"ve learned as much as I've taught!
