I decided to go for an extra instrument, the piano.
I allready have a keyboard at home on which I think I can practice like playing the piano?

But now I want to find a site or a book or something from where I can learn it, preferably in Dutch because thats my main language but if its in English it's also good.

Can someone help me. smile.gif

The problem is, real lessons costs more money then if I would play with a site or book. And because on this moment I dont have that much money to spend I want to take something that isnt that expensive.

BTW: you dont need to be sorry biggrin.gif I'm glad you responded on my topic

I know but I want to learn it as cheap as possible. Maybe I'll do it with a real teacher later.
Would it be interesting to use the book "Piano for dummies" to learn the basics?

Studying alone is possible if you support a discipline with your books.

I recommend a few classes for beginners that I found in youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNQqe7mGlyQ&feature=related

And simultaneously to study of several books of classic music or jazz. for example: Beyer op 101, Burmuller or Czerny op 599. In my opinion they are the best books for beginners...

I started playing piano alone as well, and after some time decided to take one lesson just to check how i was doing, and found out that I was hitting the keys in a wrong way.. so it's not a bad idea to take an hour or two just to start right smile.gif

I found a lot of piano sheets here http://www.sheetmusicarchive.net/

well, lets say that I was pressing the keys, rather than hitting them. The correct way is to imitate the hammer movement, you have to raise the finger and then hit the key, I was doing that without raising the finger smile.gif
