Hi All

Having a little difficulty with triplet runs and the fingering for 3 notes per string spanning 5 frets - should I use 1,2,4 fingering or 1,3,4????
Still do not have the feel entirely but wanted to record to evaluate it

thanks

Hi Kalamari, can you post a link to the original lesson? Also, if this take is not at full speed, per REC rules, it can not be graded as a normal REC submission. If you would like some feedback on a slower take, let me know and I'll move it over to the uploads board, thanks. smile.gif

I think it sounds good. The video quality is very bad, and I can barely see what you are doing, but the sound is OK. You have to work on your vibrato more, make it wider, stronger and more precise. The runs are OK, they could be more fluid, and this requires more precision and faster tempos when practicing.

Regarding the fingering technique, you can use both 124 or 134. I use 134 on lower frets and 124 or 123 on higher ones. It depends on the position and where you are going next. I suggest you use whatever feels more natural to your fingers - don't stretch them hard if you don't really have too.

Could you make the video quality better and maybe record the audio into a DAW?

Thanks for the feedback... points well taken and noted

I know that I need a better webcam and plan I buying the Logitech Quickcam 9000 Pro soon, as it has many ringing endorsements from members here at GMC.

One note, I am not all that familiar with recording audio and video separately and mixing the two together... I have a POD UX1 and hopefully a new webcam will improve things enough to provide adequate samples.... The last thing I really want to do is get too involved with the recording aspect... I really just like plugging into a tube amp and clicking record.

I have always felt the devices such as Korg Pandora (which I also own) and the POD make things sound a little fake and have a tendency to hide mistakes and make you sound better than you actually are... just my opinion.

any links or tips on easy recording (less complicated) would be appreciated.

Thanks
