And so it's been done.
First of all I would like to thanks you ALL for participating in this collab, it has been an honor to collect chops and licks from such a great players into one piece!! I'm gonna try to post few comments tho it's extremely hard to comment your playing guys, full rainbow of sounds and approaches, it was a joy to mix the whole tune!! Junk_Collab_Instructors_Final_Mix.mp3 ( 3.5MB ) Number of downloads: 721 Here we go,one at the time: Ivan Milenkovic: This was surprise and a nice one! Despite of original track Ivan deployed something totally different, small amount of overdrive with smooth bluesy touch combining pentatonic licks with Phrygian feel, great idea, individual approach ! Nemanja Filipovic Most refreshing take since it's all about vocals! Beautiful harmonizing, melodic line and lyric of course, brings back the good old EKV days(EKV- band from Serbia ). Hisham Al-Sanea I could recognize Hisham from a mile distance, totally wild tremolo vibrato, unique tone and shredy picking chops at the and. Nice phrasing over 9/8, well done. Trond Vold Powerful tone and playing, nice amount of delay to fits the slow groove, note's choice is extremely good without pushing it too much, great piece of playing! Joe Kataldo Raw sound that cuts through the mix as a knife. Chilly playing with no effort, nice structure of lead melody, very interesting take Joe. Henry Dietzel Wicked chromatic lines, harmonized notes and extra cool panning effects! Henry has done it on his own way, thumb up,creative take. Jerry Arcidiacono Groove playing at its best, Jerry has done it with lots of double stops and some neat picking chops at the end, brilliant! Gabriel Leopardi Accurate playing as always, Gabriel brings us a package full of boogie-rock chops, great!! Lian Gerbino Our Dark Lord has entered the scene! This take blows me away specially because I don't listen this kind of playing enough and I should, some scary lines,harmonizing,tapping...you name it!! Kristofer Dahl Founder of GMC uses an ultra great melodic line, sorry Kris but I would have to steal it sooner or latter!! Then we have picking runs, some sweeping as well but everything is covered with Dahl's "you never know what's next" label, awesome! Man,I'm gonna listen to whole mix few more times, pardon me! It was a pleasure indeed, thanks to all instructors who have participated in this collab and I hope we will have many more of this kind in near future!!
