I'm thinking of my dream guitar collection which I will be putting together over the next couple of years, and it has to feature an Ibanez for shredding and whammy-ing to the max ... I thought that some Ibanez guitars came with Floyd bridges but I don't see any on their site - did I miss something? Also, how do the various Ibanez bridges compare to a Floyd (or to others Ibanez's range?) I see the ZR bridge, and the Edge III mentioned a lot - anyone care to explain the differences?
Thanks! -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

I think it's just carelessness when people (including myself) use to say "Floyd Rose" in general when refering to a tremolo looking and working like a Floyd Rose. Regarding the Edge tremolo it's licenced by Floyd Rose. -------------------- My bands homepage

Thanks guys, that helps a lot - I'm currently liking the look of the RG range, maybe with the through neck ... a Jem is probably way too much as this wouldn't be my main Axe, just one of several
Does anyone have an opinion on whether the thru neck is worth the extra? Presumably it helps with sustain? Oh, and thanks for the www.Ibanezrules.com link - I'll check it out! This post has been edited by Andrew Cockburn: Mar 31 2007, 03:27 PM -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
