If you have been learning Economy for awhile and your good at it, you really should learn Alternate Picking.
If you look at most of the lessons on here, there is lots of Alternate Picking. As Paul Gilbert once said " Theres nothing better then pure Alternate Picking" however that doesnt mean you shouldnt have some Economy knowledge under your belt. So learn both techniques, but I would invest more time into Alternate Picking because it will probably help you more in the long run.
Just my thoughts~smile.gif
