I was just about to post this actually. I haven;t downloaded the album nor am i going to i'm waiting for it to come out but i saw all of them posted on youtube so i was wondering what the hell was going on. I love Porcelain Heart but i wonder how good the rest will be. Ghost Reveries is one of my favourite albums ever so it'll need to be pretty good to beat that.

In my opinion, the rest of the album is on par or better than porcelain heart, but you'll have to hear it yourself. I'm going to try to get myself a deluxe edition copy.

I would even go so far as saying that for me, Porcelain Heart is by far the worst song on the record. Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, but compared to the other songs on this record, it's nothing.

Yeah i've heard a few of them off of youtube, i quite liked Coil but nothing else has really stuck in my head yet but Porcelain Heart ticked with me instantly so i recon that's going to end up being my favourite track off the album. Then again i didn't totally love Ghost Reveries at first and yet it's turned out to be one of my favourite albums. So i should have to listen to the album a few times to decide if i like it overall but i'm still going to buy it when it comes out. What is your favouruite?

My favourite is always changing between, Heir Apparent, The Lotus Eater, Burden, Hessian Peel and Hex Omega. >_< Right now it's Hessian Peel though, and I think that one or The Lotus Eater will end up being my favourite.

Well the CD officially came out yesterday down here at 12:00 pm, and I had the special edition on reserve, and its just amazing through and through. The DVD it came with had some bonus tracks on it, "Derelict Hands", "Bridge Of Sighs", and "Den Ständiga Resan", A lot of extra artwork, and the a kind of "making of" thing for Watershed, with some interviews and rehearsal videos which were really cool.

One of the best CD's this year easily smile.gif

Yeah, my favourite so far this year (what a shocking surprise), allthough both Moonspell''s Night Eternal and In Mourning's Shrouded Divine aren't that far vbehind it.

And yeah, I love the bonus track, and the little documentary. Derelict Herds is weird in such a nice way, I want more of that kind, even though it might not be as good as the other songs on the record and it wouldn't fit with the others either.

EDIT: I just found this on youtube, it's hillarious. http://youtube.com/watch?v=kLVm3i_xMvM&feature=related

Yeah, and the case it came in, the special edition was awesome, it folded out like some weird envelope, pretty cool.

PS
Anyone notice the backwards part on Hessian Peel? Some guy put it played backwards on youtube, and it says "Out of the courtyard. Come back night. My sweet Satan. I see you", something like that. Really cool, adds to the already creepy atmosphere of the song.

I'm not a big fan of the case, I think I'm going to buy the normal edition as soon as I have time to do it, just to have something beautiful in the shelf. (yes, I suck)

EDIT: and also, this CE case looks like it'll get really worn out quickly aswell, so I'm going to need the normal edition just for playing it. (once again, yes I kind of suck)

I bought mine on Monday and yeah its an album of lushness =] but then i expected no different from Opeth. It's a great album although i will admit that at some parts in it only long time fans may be able to appreciate it because to others it might be a bit too 'weird'

Believe me, I'm anal about my cd's aswell, I'm almost to afraid to touch some of my favourite cd's, but that's why I'm thinking of getting an ordinary copy of watershed aswell, so I can touch it. Yes, I know I need help, but.. laugh.gif

I've listened a few times and I'm not overly impressed. I'm going to see them for the 3rd or 4th time in August I forget biggrin.gif Hopefully they are better then. I'm mainly going for Helloween, At The Gates and Iced Earth anyway tongue.gif

So, yea, umm I think the more I played this album, the less I like it. The first couple of songs stood out the most, but the rest just flies off my ear.
