Hi Muris, here is a video of me attempting to play the first section of your Alternate Workout lesson.

It would be great if you could watch it and maybe give me some tips on how i could improve and get my playing a bit more fluid and even, and maybe increase my speed a little.

thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy. smile.gif

As far as I can see your picking hand seems
very relaxed and works without efforts.
There are few tiny mistakes but no big deal,
with a little bit more practicing it'll be just great.

Btw,would you try it using backing from the lesson?

And nice 7 string axe! smile.gif

thanks very much Muris smile.gif

I will try and get a video recorded with the backing track today. I still can't get it to full speed with the backing track, but I will try it at one of the slower tempos.

And I'm really enjoying my 7 string, I just got it quite recently and i love it cool.gif

Great,looking forward to the clip,
use tempo you feel comfortable at,
it doesn't need to be full speed at all. smile.gif

Hi Muris, here is the video of me playing with the backing track at 110bpm

Alternate Workout with backing track

This was the first time I have used my video camera (the last video was webcam on laptop) so it took 2 takes to get the guitar, but about an hour to get the camera set up and figure out how to use it right tongue.gif

I am finding the next section much trickier, but i will keep working at it. I could hardly play this section when I first tried it, but it's getting much better already just from a few days practice.

Only few tiny sloppy notes at the end of video
but all in all it sounds and looks VERY GOOD!!

Btw,those sloppy notes are caused by left hand
as far as I can see,use of pinky and ring finger.
Those 2 fingers are most difficult to split between,
picking hands works just great.

Keep working,it goes just fine so far! smile.gif

Thanks very much Muris, it's a really huge encouragement.

I definately agree it is my left hand that is causing the problems, I think I will try and find more exercises to work my pinky and ring fingers.

I will keep working on it and hopefully soon i will be comfortable with the whole peice.

thanks again smile.gif
