A was looking at the AKG 240 Studio which is about 100€ when I saw another AKG headphone, AKG77 at 40€.

I'm never aiming for the best of the best but just good enough and I wonder if anyone here has experience from AKG77. I need a new set of headphones since one pad fell off of my old headphones. Had it taped in place for the past year but the otherday it completely cracked. Now all I got is a cheap pair of Behringer that only was supposed to be a spare pair, came in handy now, and a wireless pair of Philips headphones but frankly a bit of sound quality is lost between the transmitter and the headphones so it's not ok for homestudio work.

Experiences anyone?

I have K141 Studio from akg and I'm very pleased with them mate. They can be found here and there, these days they are replaced with MKII version which is great as well. But if you find this one, you won't make a mistake, and they cost less then 240. Great monitoring semi aurals.

Thanks for the tip! Actually, here they seem to cost more than the 240 Studio headphones huh.gif Oh but there's another version of the 240 I think that's more expensive I guess you meant those.

Ooh, I thought they were cheaper sorry, I was watching the MKII version of 240. I payed the K141 around 100e here in the local shop, so don't know the prices in Sweden mate. In general 240 should be better model than K141, don't know why it is more expensive. K141 MKII is more expensive, but K141 should be cheaper.

Got my AKG240 Studio today. biggrin.gif Sits very comfortable, it's like they're not even there. Runs well on the sound interface so I'll manage without an extra headphone amp.

And I learned from the store that this model has been canceled, the ones I got was from the last batch they could get their hands on ohmy.gif
