This is very similar for sound but they aren't the same. Nirvana were huge and Come As You Are was huge and that is the only reason why Killing Joke tried to sue them but didn't win of course.

Did anyone ever hear the songs that Led Zeppelin ripped?

There's is tones of them. I can't find what they were, but I seen the vids on youtube. Infact, on some albums they even had to pay royalties.

THey sound similar, but they are definitely not the same. I don't think they intentionally stole the melody - it's a coincidence. smile.gif

There was one song where even the lyrics were the same, but it was from some european chick. I can't remember which one, but it was one of their most famous songs.

One of the biggest similarties is this thread. I had created one a few months back very similiar to this one talking about what bands you think ripped off others....

There are only twelve notes to play and they have all been played before. I don't think Nirvana would steal anything, but it's almost impossible to play something that someone hasn't done before. If you don't want to play something really, really weird like out of tune or something. tongue.gif

twelve notes + unlimited sequence space + unlimited chord progression possibilities = near infinite creativity wink.gif

That should work smile.gif But I never knew why they did drop the case as the rest of the band was still alive and the song is still huge to this day.

That is a coincidence, I think. For example, "Like the Angel" by Rise Against has just the two same patterns in the intro, only in a different tempo and key, plus that I have ended up with the same pattern myself a few times.
