Yep, that's right. A guitar competition where 5 people are being chosen for a final. These 5 solos will be sent to Paul Gilbert who decides who will win a Ibanez Prestige of free choice... There are some consolation prices too...
Of course the competition will be fierce, but it doesn't cost anything to submit an entry. Sorry for you other guys, it's only open for residents of Sweden and Denmark.

EDIT: OK, maybe a link would be useful? THat damn alzheimers...

Thanks a lot for sharing this!

Though my Danish is not that good yet tongue.gif , let me see if I got it right from the site:

- Deadline is March 20th
- I have to choose one of backing tracks
- I have to upload a solo over it, pretty much like GMC collab? laugh.gif

Sounds good

I know some guys who will enter this are amazing guitar players. Some of them could be top instructors here actually... But it's fun to enter anyway.
A good thing is among the 5 finalists, only one is voted in, the other 4 are judged by a jury of three guitar-guys... This way it's no mean to ask all of their family, schoolmates, workmates, exgirlfriends and what not to vote..
THen these 5 entries will be sent to Paul Gilbert who picks the winner. How cool is that!?

It's the distributor for Ibanez (Crafton) in Sweden and Denmark who arrange this competition...
And why have any other countries? We all know guitarists in Sweden and Denmark outshine everyone else, so the winner will come from here anyway! wink.gif
