Hey guys,

Just watched (again) some Guthrie videos, I think I'm addicted to Guthrie laugh.gif
So, I watched this video and I just don't get it what he is doing in the end when he makes his guitar sounds like a crying bird (sorry, I dont find other words huh.gif)

Can anybody explain me what he is doing there ?

Cheers

Quite sure he is scraping his pick against the thin strings. smile.gif

Try doing it with a slide or a whammy bar. Makes a funny sound.

Yeah, add rough edges of pick and you get just the same,
with whammy bar it sounds more "clear",
this way it's kind a dirty. biggrin.gif

You can make that sound also with a metal thimble (like Ron Thal does) or with a clasper (like Mattias Eklundh does).

Guthrie is the man! He rocks biggrin.gif

Guthrie is my favourite guitarist at the moment, I saw him live in London last summer and it was mindblowing!
