Crybaby Options

I'm looking to get a new wah pedal. It seems that cry baby is making defferent models. Anyone have experience with one in particular that they like?

I have a Morley standard model, it's broken now though, and it sounded ok but just that. Dunlop (cry baby) has a few but I'm only used to the simplest version.. I'm not a great wah player btw... and it's ok from what I hear. Not playing it myself but the other guitarist has one so I hear it quite often.

The other day I got my Ibanez Weeping Demon.... and it's fantastic. Haven't had time to try it out that much but so far it's so so soooo great. You can set it to sound your likings, vintage or a fat lead tone.
And it's got an optical "pot" and two modes, one regular where you push a button to get it started and one auto-mode where it starts as you move it and it stops when you remove your foot.

I got more than I expected fot that price really. Just a tad more than Dunlops entry model.

Thanks - the problem that I have with my old crybaby is that it seems when you touch it, it goes stright to the max setting with out much control in between. I'm looking for one that has a lot of controllable depth. I'd like to have a pedal that has a lot of space to push between off an on. (hope that makes sense).

Ihave the Jimmy Hendrix style wah-wah pedal It's about 100$ (not actually his pedal but his kind) Also there is the "Cry Baby from hell," and I think it's a more metal sound. I'm ok with the pedal but my old dunlop messed up. (I recommend getting NEW wah-wah pedal that you can plug an adapter up to cause trust me they can suck the power out of a battery pretty quick. Adapter is bout 10-20$ the crybaby from hell is about 120$ if you want that one. But I use the Hendrix style pedal and it works like a charm. But don't buy a cheap unless youre a 100% sure it works and try different pedals out and see what you like.

Thanks - the problem that I have with my old crybaby is that it seems when you touch it, it goes stright to the max setting with out much control in between. I'm looking for one that has a lot of controllable depth. I'd like to have a pedal that has a lot of space to push between off an on. (hope that makes sense).

If you want a wah with a very slight "pressing" effect vox is an alternative. I am not a big fan of them however, I like the effect you describe.

I have the Jimi Hendrix wah wah. The Original Thomas Edition. I love it it works great. Easy to switch to normal channel too. It gives for a great hard rock sound. I love using it with some kirk hammet type licks.

Thanks. I have an old one and maybe it has seen it's day. or, perhaps the POT is just crapped out but I'll look around at some new stuff. It's been so long since i've been out there looking at new equipment, I have no idea whats good and bad.
