So I now have EZdrummer, after discovering I also needed a vsti program I began to discover.
I found that you can use some keys on the keyboard of your computer to make some noise but I dont have any MIDI keyboard and I cant find all sounds ... Could someone tell me the basics? Where's the kick btw? tongue.gif Cant find it on my keyboard.

Maybe there is a way,
I know that Record (new propellerhead's DAW) works that way
but it doesn't support any external VST.

I'm using it in Ableton Live, I can get some sound out of the keys but it's all hi hat stuff.

Well hit every possible key in a mean while
and see if you can find some other kit's elements.
I hope someone has more info about this issue,
I always use my midi keyboard. smile.gif

Hmm, my DAW and drum controller allow for remapping. There's a few pre-assigned layouts, and one of those matches up with a standard computer keyboard, but there should be some way to assign the keys rather than pressing buttons and guessing... right?

Ok, just googled. I'm wrong; EZ drummer doesn't let you change the mapping. At this point it would've been faster to draw the notes in midi.

Sauce is here: http://www.vettaville.com/ezdrummer_midi_keyboard_layout.htm

I remember back in the days, when I first joined the internet and was chatting with some guys at a forum, I asked how to change the color of the font for the text in the chat, and I was told to press ALT+F4... Geuss what happened! dry.gif

Gotcha! If you press W or X you can see in the bottom left corner the octave you're playing in, when you change this you can get other sound, when in octave C0 - D1 you can get the kick from K smile.gif
