So, I've been told a couple time I should be more active on the forums...instead of trolling the GMC Chatroom...

Which BTW is located here. smile.gif

Anyways, I've been bored at work today and working on some "custom" picks. Using a tip from a friend mainly I've attached a couple of pictures of my now what I term Super-Stubbys. Basically they're just Dunlop stubbys (not to be confused with the Big Stubbys) but with a rubber grip, because I've noticed I sweat a bit while playing and these small picks seem to fly out of my hand. Typically landing on the floor under some piece of furniture mad.gif

This particular rendition (Super Stubby Mk I) had 3 coats of rubber grip...turned out to be a little thick. I'm hoping the 1 coat versions work better...looking forward to testing 'em out thoroughly this weekend.

BTW, made using "Plasti-Dip" a rubber coating for "tools" that can be found in the paint section of your local hardware store if anyone's daring to try this. I used that, some painters tape, and a precision knife. My Stubbys are 1mm thick, fyi. Friend uses the 3mm and it works just as good.

could be a patent hiding within that method, dude. I don't think you could get away with using the stubby name this way, but it seems like you've created "little rubbies" smile.gif

It is a good idea, but Surfpicks already use a rubber grip on their picks..

He won't ship to Norway though, because of the wood they're using dry.gif
Can you send me one? biggrin.gif

You are confirming my suspicion (based earlier on the fact that you are the only one here who has yet captured Jimmy Page's style in your "Inspired" lesson), that you are quite the intelligent fellow.

edit: crap, screwed up (thought Audiopaal started this thread), confirming most opinions here, that fkalich is quite the idiot.

no loss, the guy who started the thread and Audiopaal are both commendable. Maybe he can come up with a second Jimmy Page lesson.

Tried cutting into the picks....but it just wasn't the same as the rubber grip.

And, yea...3 monitors.....it's handy.
