I am doing a bit of sound design for Native Instruments and have a few sounds to create for them.
I am close to this one, but am still struggling...
By listening to this sample, what effects can you hear or how would you approach creating this type of sound?
Thanks in advance!

Ahh, Prodigy? I'm not convinced that's a guitar at all, but here's what I would try:

- phase inverter or a wah parked at (or near) the heel
- chorus at 10% depth, 0% speed, 100% mix
- slap plate reverb
- crunch gain, not a sizzling lead

EDIT: Does GR have an envelope filter?

That's a synth intro by The Prodigy..
I'm not sure how they made it, but I can ask a friend of mine who's into that stuff smile.gif

Yeah, I wasn't convinced that was a guitar either (see above). If we're sure it's synthesizer, all he needs will be found in the ADSR/envelope. Maybe add some dist if the synth allows it.

I saw that now smile.gif
I know it's a synth and not a guitar, but it might be possible to get pretty close with a guitar as well..
I'm just not sure how biggrin.gif

I'd still say envelope filter, but I dunno how good the one in GR really is.

There's not much a guitar can't do, I've heard a guitar sound like a harmonica biggrin.gif

Hahaha, true, Morello would for sure find that sound without any problems, Prodigy used synths though as far as I know.

Thanks a lot for your insight my friends!
I'm close to that sound, but will no include it since it's a synth which I didn't know at first! :-)
