I wouldn't pay that much for a guitar even If I would have the money to spare and the guitar was built by Aliens and singed by Jesus himself!

Paul McCartney ??? laugh.gif He bought a lot of óther stuff from Jackson (even though it was his own from the very beginning). Nah, I agree. Seriously, in my world no guitar is worth more than some 2.500$, no matter what it is...

Antiques road show values a 1952 in pretty good and stock (unmodified) condition at about $20 thousand. Apparently he thinks the Jackson connection has a lot of value. This guitar is seriously modified (probably also new finish), which drastically will lower value all things considered equal. As far as Jackson goes, I doubt in a decade anyone will much care about them, in 20 years most under the age of 30 will even have know who the M Jackson or his family were, I would not buy this for a long term investment. The media tends to play up individuals to make a buck with the side shows they can create, making people think that certain individuals were more significant than they really were. In the long run that passes, and they are pretty much forgotten. Such as the Beatles don't come around that often.

Look at the topic for my guitar...
Finished Guitar Build

Gear:
Homemade strat (You still need to look at its topic!)
Squier strat (probably going to get rid of it and get another guitar instead) :)
Line 6 spider amp (not actually used for anything, just acts as a speaker)
Digitech Gnx2 (kind of old, but cheap, and sounds amazing!)

If I was earning a billion a month I would easily have bought this tongue.gif

...along with my own castle where I would have a couple of studios, collectible rooms etc.
And I would have build a guitar collection that could compete with Joe Perrys! (he said in an interview that he had around 600, dunno if its true or not laugh.gif )

I wouldn't pay it no matter what, I just don't care about autographs. Someone might like those guitars as collectibles, but the only guitar I would buy is the guitar I can play regurarly.
