Blues Licks |

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey guys!
This is my first solo or licks practising ever. I've been working on it for one week now and this is the result. My previous videos had artifacts as you know, and I tried to use a converter program (from .mov to avi) and as a result the quality of display decreased but there are no artifacts or sound explosions at least. I think I'm progressing with baby steps both with my playing and videos. Hope I'll get much better. Here's the link to the original lesson. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guitar/blues-licks1/ And my youtube video link as below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJti5LLhFM4 This post has been edited by skennington: Jul 25 2011, 09:01 PM -------------------- Cheers,

Nice take man! You learnt the lesson perfectly and there are just some details to practice. There are some bends and even some vibratos a bit out of pitch but I think that this things will be fixed after some more days of practice. The timing and tone are great. So keep on playing!
Good job. -------------------- My lessons

Excellent job with this lessons, timing is very decent, tone is a bit buzzy, but audible, and good feel for the swing rhythm. What you need to work on more are those bends. Make sure you really get them in pitch properly, and practice the speed of the bending process with metronome (practicing slowly will eventually increase your speed of bending).
