Mate, try to focus on Still Hurts and get it finished AND wink.gif Why not set a deadline? It's good to have some kind of pressure when having to finish things - I am talking based on experience biggrin.gif

Yes its just.. 2 damn hard licks..
He has his own typical sfogli licks that sounds so good but is so hard to do.
And a 2 note per string picking lick, (my nightmare)

But I will have to dive in to it, i will look over the song then we can set a deadline

Its so fun cause im so fast at 3 notes per string playing. But when it comes to 2 string (not legato only picking) im super slow biggrin.gif
So, I will keep the idea of the lick but throwing in some tap and maybe legato but using the same notes.

Well it would be good to pratice 2 notes lick u might think, but this is just too fast I think 32th notes grouped as nines in 130 bmp.
But I will certainly overlook that technique a bit more.

Suggest a deadline mate smile.gif
I pratice 6 hours a day I can maybe do 1-2 hours on this song

Hey Erik! Before suggesting a deadline, there are two important things to consider:

- as long as the result ends up sounding as the original, you can use any technique you wish wink.gif I am all for dodging things, as long as you end up having the desired result, clean, tight, expressive and in good timing
- How much of the song do you need to go through?

Let me know and I'll tell you about a deadline I am finding realistic smile.gif

Cosmin

of course its a little better on the latest recording.
Anyway when i start soloing I just skip the licks in the chords and just play them, gets a bit boring, so I think I throw some synth in there.

Would it be cool to let the guitar play basic rock chords and let the synth do chords like a maj 11 since its supposed to mode rock?

Hmmm, lately I have used this idea but, as I told you in a previous post - I used pads smile.gif Those more ambiental sounding synths, in order to create a rather full atmosphere than having clear precise sounding chords. See what you get mate - experimentation is the key to success biggrin.gif

About the deadlines - Sounds fair to me smile.gif I wrote it down so we will know!

Okay pads, I suppose its a physical thing, or are there plugins for it I can use with a usb synth?
I made a little updated version of the track

Hey mate, it's better indeed but the riffage still needs tightness and it should be more oriented towards the shuffle feel - as I feel it now, the intention is not full somehow - can you dig my words? It's a bit leaning towards the normal feel rather than the shuffle one.

The theme is very nice and melodic, but watch out when you bend notes - some of them are not quite there.

Pads - are atmospheric sounding synths smile.gif Remember? We spoke about them in this thread a while ago smile.gif

I understand about the tightness, need to pratice it more but.
I dont not understand about the shuffle feel. You mean its wrong in rythm or something?

Its 6/8 in 150 bpm

Hey mate - it's not about the wrong rhythm - we are talking about a feel here which is dictated by note length. Please allow me to demonstrate in a video, a little later on, ok?

Okay thank you, that clear things up and I will try it.

Also about pads, I use the program FM7 that god "synth pads" and its great.
Problem is I want more of a direct synth playing chords with guitar for this rock song, but cant find it
