I had a dream last night, I'd like to complain about, it 'felt' like a nightmare, as it wasnt enjoyable and the experience in the dream was cast in a dark light.

This is going to sound rediculous, but I guarantee this is what I dreamt;

There were bass guitars in my room and they were multiplying, every time I went back into the room, there was another bass guitar, for some reason (in my dream) this filled me with fear, bass guitars clad my walls, I also seemed to have an amp that constantly played Lamb of Gods "Laid To Rest" on repeat (a song from a band that
I dont particularily like but a song that I know how to play), there was nothing rational contained within the dream that I could particularily be afraid of, but somehow it was sinister. tongue.gif

Anyway, I cant say much more, I must go with the nice people in the white coats laugh.gif

My power supply went dead in the morning sad.gif It was "Fortron Blue Storm II" 500 Watt. Fortunately it is still under warranty so i took it to the store. It will be coming back in around 2 weeks so for now i got myself a Codegen 400Watts 25$ supply biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Now can anyone tell me the difference between buying a high quality supply like Blues Storm and a so called "low quality"? Blue Storm is 120$ here and the Codegen is 25$! The 120$ supply went dead in less than a year! What's the point in all that fancy gear out there???

I bet all the components are manufactured in the same Chinese factory...it's just the package that is different sad.gif

Three things:

I'm mainly self employed and get a lot of my income from proof reading and editing (60%). A large job recently came in - edit and proof a book - that I started last week. I received an email today from the publisher - they sent me the wrong copy AFTER I had spent over 45 hours working on it. I get paid for the completed project, not by the hour, so that is a complete waste of my time.

Power outage in my town - unannounced - normally no big deal but this one took out the power supply (550W Antec- and yes the pc was surge protected) on my main pc. Spent most of the day fault finding my pc and then stripping out the power supply, switching to an alternative to check it was power rather than RAM etc and then ordering the new one. Main pc is in bits so I'm left on a very basic laptop. Replacement will take until Monday to arrive and will cost the equivalent of 2 days work.

Last - got the result of a medical consultant's report from the weekend which sucked.

I spent the majority of last night vomitting, I woke up at about 0:30 and managed to get a load of undigested puff pastry all over my walls and my guitar.

Urgh. Winter vomiting virus sucks. sad.gif

It felt like that bit in Trainspotting were Ewan McGregor swims down the toilet... laugh.gif
