The main video, the sections at the slower tempo and the tab are all different. Can you point me to some different lessons, honestly I do not like to proced in this way. I have just to put the lesson together, practcing starting slownly and taking all the time it need. I have strated Muris lesson as well. What a great way to make sure to play a chord correctly. Being able to replicate what Bear was playing by ear would have been a very good exercise. However, as I said, I got confused since he played in different way in the videos (particulary the slow versions). And not having the teacher in front of you, when you can stop him, ask questions, made it terrible difficult. In this case I would like the tab to help me but also them were different. I was thinking we can do one of this, more strumming and basic chords (you already suggested some lessons, the new Gabriel one is quite fun) or something else on rhythm, starting to play some licks (like the 15 blues licks lesson by Alex) or having a bit of fun and start to play a song (the chords progression of Confortably Numb is in my mind). If you were not mentoring me I would jump on "in the style of" lesson since they are my favourite but we should decide together. I think that 'In the style of' type lessons are not a bad idea, but before them, you should get your chops ready, as there is more than just rhythm playing in those lessons So, I suggest we try some simple lead based lessons in parallel with Gabe's chord shifting lesson, which I honestly think will do you A LOT of good!
