I like how russian lyrics incorporate into mighty metal riffs!!
Some say that they're just copy of Iron Maiden , but wouldn't agree on that
Here are some favorites off the new album and some old live clips!

Is "Armageddon" the name of the album? Did they "define" it long ago?

Armageddon is something that many artistes over the years have explored but never defined smile.gif

Yeah, that's the album the defined in 2006!!

it's my favourite.. Viking song is from it!!

It's bad that they never toured out of Russia due to their popularity
? They were such force in Russia as Maiden in England...

I'm listening to Steve Harris, it's sounds more like alternative rock like Audioslave / Muse then metal.. dry.gif

Yeah, Steve said himself that it's more like melodic 70's rock. At least it's different enough from Maiden smile.gif

Yeah, but he didn't mention bad 70's rock... this can't come even close to less good Floyd, Zepp, or Deep P songs...

I find it unusual but interesting that a lot of the lyrics in Russian rock/metal bands' songs are written by outside lyricists and poets like this lady

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margarita_Pushkina

Whatever works, I guess ! smile.gif

Apparently a lot of Accept's lyrics were written by Wolf Hoffman's wife ?

I guess whoever has the best English writes the songs !! biggrin.gif

But it's very cool to think a woman wrote this song

HEhe, didn't know that , very interrsting!

What can be MORE MTEAL then THAT!??? cool.gif

Aria is great! This is where my interest in music started biggrin.gif I know lyrics of almost every song by heart! Though I don't listen to them anymore, as they have changed a vocalist 2 times... The first vocalist Valery Kipelov (and the main) left them in ~2002 to start solo career, his is kinda the most famous metalist in Russia. He was substituted by Artur Berkut, which was also very good, i've seen them live about 4 years ago. They released 2 studio albums and then Berkut left. The last album has a new singer and I liked the album, but it is not the same Aria for anymore smile.gif
By the way, check out Kipelov's solo project:
