I'm not positive of the year but I know it's early 1940s because it has a 'field coil' speaker (separate trannny for the speaker).
It's a National ... the brown one on the right. [attachment=32835:IMG_2013...5_011410.JPG] *the blackface fender is a bassman head/chassis from '64 loaded into a 2-10 cab. The National I found for 35.00 in a local music shop and the bassman I traded a session for. -------------------- - Ken Lasaine

An old Martin from the late 1800s. Here it is on the right (the one on the left is from the late 50s).

It's made out of aluminum. There's really nothing to break or degrade. It has some blemishes especially on the back.

It's a cultural thing.
