Hey Diet!
Let's work on some tone improvements directly from the source - hand! Please wirte down what gear You're using at home and are Youable to record a short vid of Your right hand only to see how things are going there
Very well As You probably noticedall of us (Me, Todd, Cosm and Gab) has a bit different playing style and some of the tips for exactly the same techniques might be different You have to try all we suggest and just find Your best combo of all those tips
First thing I would like to start is that Your pick angle is probably too small at some point. Try to move the pick towards the wrist (with Your thumb and index finger. Also doing this You'll have more space on index finger to rest the pick on. This might cause no more other fingers support needed. What You do with other fingers is just unnecessary tension You might try to lossen those so the become sort of antibalnace for the downstrokes. You can angle You index finger a bit more so it hides a bit under the thumb. This gives only two fingers invloved, solid grip of the pick. Very important because it helps to avoid pick stuck between strings and also allow You to play harder
I rather meant to leave all other fingers released (opposite to what You did now). All new things need some time to get used to, and then then comes a moment when You can objectively judge them. Take some time to try. You hand angle suggest pure wrist movement so it won't change the movement basics but just keep You sure the grip is strong enough and will remove unnecessary tension
