Hi Alex! Good job!
The timing workout still has issues but it's much better! We can continue with the next backing (120 bpm): AC_DC_Backing_120.mp3 ( 1.52MB ) Number of downloads: 295 5 days of practice. About Frusciante, yes, timing is giving big problems, but we are working on this. The timing workout exercise is perfect. How did you feel it? Easy? Tricky? There is a new assignment on the original thread, check it out. -------------------- My lessons

Woops autocorrect, meant the ear training . Hahah What do you mean by this is just the beginning?? Now I get a little bit worried... I mean that we will continue working on timing, but with trickier tasks once you master the current one. -------------------- My lessons

As you wish. I'll be open to check it. Hey Gabriel! How are you? Saw pictures that you played on TV! Amazing!! Here is new timing video and answers to ear training, some days I did not find the time to practice the Frusciante lesson but I have practiced bending atleast 10 min each day so no Frusciante video this week. I felt like this was a pretty good take actually, just a couple of notes I missed. https://youtu.be/vRrmInlcQ4Y The ear training was quite much harder this week. Ear Training Assignment 2 1. Major 2nd 2. Major 6th 3. Major 7th 4. Perfect 4th 5. Major 2nd 6. Octave 7. Major 6th 8. Major 2nd 9. Unison 10. Perfect 4th11. Octave 12. Major 3rd 13. Major 7th 14. Perfect 4th 15. Perfect 5th |

Hi Alex!! I have to say that you did a very good job with the timing workout!! Most of the notes sound totally tight on this one. So we are ready to make an experiment. The work for the next days is to play the same rhythm (quarter notes) but now using A minor pentatonic scale random notes. The idea is to see if playing different notes distracts you and makes you lose timing... I give you 4 days to work on this, ok?
The ear training assignment has many wrong ones, could you please re-check it using your guitar? -------------------- My lessons

Hi Alex! Good job with the assignments! The ear training is perfect! And the timing workout is very close, there are some parts where you play everything very tight. The only part that shows problems is the bridge from verse to chorus, where the rhythm changes.
So well, the next timing assignment is now playing 8th notes over the following backing. If you pay attention to the backing you will notice that hi hat is playing 8th notes. Funky_Backing_105_bpm_2.mp3 ( 1.38MB ) Number of downloads: 256 As this is the first assignment with these rhythm, we will get back to repeat the same note instead of random notes. Deadline: May 7th -------------------- My lessons

Awesome Gabriel! Should I tap my foot in 8th notes or quarter notes? Quarter notes. That's how you'll tap when phrasing and playing solos so you need to be able to tap quarter while you play 8th notes. -------------------- My lessons

Quarter notes. That's how you'll tap when phrasing and playing solos so you need to be able to tap quarter while you play 8th notes. Ahh, that is what I thought. Great |
