MXR makes a a killer analogue auto wah. It doesn't take batteries and uses it's own power cable as it sucks a lot of juice to make all that tone. You can get one used for about $65

MEDALS OF HONOR *SYNCH: Very good right/left hand synch!! *PRECISION/SPEED: Brisk!!!!! *AGGRESSIVE STYLE: Extra points for sheer AGGRESSION!! in other words you just LEVLED UP!!!!  POST MORTEM These first few missions are really just designed to get you used to the process and get you started down the long and winding road of GLORY! After watching your Mission Vid several times, I did notice that you are very nearly heading toward the carddinal sin of 'Picking from the Elbow" this is something that feels very natural at speed. However, it's something I specifically train Soldiers to avoid as it actually reduces long term pick efficacy and endurance. You will notice that you get a bit of a burning sensation in your arms after a while, and you will notice your accuracy will decline after extended use of this technique. My first suggestion is to try to pick from the fingers back, not the elbow forward. In other words, slow down a bit and focus on moving the pick with only your finger and thumb. Then add a bit of wrist motion. Don't let the motion go beyond your wrist. Videoing yourself is the best way to see how you are doing. If you notice your arm is stiff in the video, then you still have work to do. Focus on the fingers. Remember, speed is a byproduct of precision. Your thumb and finger can provide plenty of precision. When Watch my picking hand in this recent collab with Ben. Notice how my right arm/hand is not tense and looks sort of relaxed. I'm not using much right hand pressure at all, despite playing at speed. My hand doesn't tense. That is the first sign that you have left the rifle range. If you feel your hand tensing. Stop playing. Relax and begin again focusing only on your picking. Take your left hand off the neck. Just pick and relax. This takes time and you have many missions ahead to work on it. Onward!! BEYOND THE MISSIONS: Give my SUNDAY SHRED CHALLENGE a try. It's just acoustic guitar. Try to use some alt picking in G Major. Try to articulate using just your thumb and finger. Don't worry about speed.
