Hi here

i have take the decision to learn Lucretia from megadeth

a little reminder for thoses who don't know or remember this awesome track from the awesome album "Rust in Peace"

To start i have get a backing track from youtube with lyrics (originals ones) and 3 guitar pro files (more than one because some can have transcription errors)

i'll update this topic with my progression and i'll post take during the process of learning. (this sentence have non sense, because both parts means the same ! smile.gif )

hope this track is not too much for me !!

i start to learn the rythmic parts.

cheers

for the curious, this is the tabs in GPx format

Attached File  Megadeth___Lucretia__Pro_.gp5 ( 72.65K ) Number of downloads: 59

Hi Mertay

Do not say "nice" to fast..... i just have learn the rythm overhaul and two riff, and it's not in the pocket because it's a bit tricky !

but it's a cool challenge , even if i do not play the whole solos, i'll surely learn a lot !!

cheers

Not bad!

Its sound familiar enough to me but if you want to get in a bit more detailed try decreasing the bass/low mid.s without changing the overall character.

On a side note, to my knowledge it was megadeth which made the boss mt2 pedal famous (mezone on guitar rig) into a fender. They also used mesa cab.s with marshall amps and pretty much defined thrash sound (and inspired other genre's) for a very long time.

As said your result is not bad and I would want to confuse you, just giving hints incade needed.

Cool, could you also try decreasing the screamers drive a little? I can only guess but would expect it to increase the sound definition when hitting powerchords.

I gotta give you credit for being one of the hardest working players here at GMC. I have seen you working your brains out since you showed up here and your playing has improved in a HUGE way. It's great to see smile.gif Please do KEEP IT UP!!!

I dig the tone you created on this one and I wanted to see if you'd mind exporting the preset and sharing it in this thread? If you want to keep it to yourself I understand smile.gif But if you feel like sharing I'd love to try it!!

Your takes keep getting better on this tune. Can't wait to hear the next one smile.gif

Todd
