> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey again Tom! smile.gif

My first impression aside from playing is you could use a little amount of gain, just like David did in original lesson. It's not about having distorted tone but little amount of gain would add pleasant compression and sustain to your weakest notes (dynamics-wise). At the moment they disappear in the background. Aslo...you could increase the contrast. You have no problem with sof and warm execution but the moments where it should sound hard and sharp, they sound not enough accented.

You have a problem to keep bends pitch. Most of them are a little too low pitch-wise, or you bend to correct pitch but you do no hold it through all the note time.

I would also recommend to go again through the lesson because there are some more moments where David hits the strings very soft

From the good things:
Tone is ok (gain suggestion is subjective). You play quite clean with no critical level of unwanted noise. Your playing in average is well pitched (just those bends to be fixed) and overall performance is a nice quality one. You're on the very good path smile.gif

Hi, as Darius says, your bending can do with some work, because let's face it, this is Gilmour - so it's a bending lesson mainly smile.gif

However, your bending technique is going in the right direction. The whole bends performed with your 2nd or 3rd fingers are very good. The index finger is a bit weaker at getting the right pitch, which is common, so try to address the first finger bending so it doesn't get left bend.

Timing is mostly good here. There's even a section where you play some slow triplets and you were about 90% on it.. only near the end of the phrase did you go slightly out.

Overall, a very strong showing... your lead playing is developing very well.
