For once not a very long one. 3 minutes or so.

I'm just correcting things a bit in GP as I have half an hour now, before having to go to a museum with some people from my school, and then after that I should be set to go home and record.

If you have the time to check out this very early stage of the song, let me know what you think smile.gif I'm thinking it could be an opener on an album.

I really dig when the delay'ed guitar kicks in. Although not really a big fan of the relation between the vocal line and the delay guitar (but that is just perferences). At 84 bars plus i am getting that Opeth'ish vibe cool.gif which totally kicks ass.

Overall I enjoyed it.

It's a proven fact that guitar faces have a bigger impact on tone than wood does.

Hi Cael! I really enjoyed listening to this one with general midi sounds, so I'm sure that this will be killer with real guitars. I like the overall feel, the main melody and the drum grooves. I can imagine this one as an opener to an album or EP. I like the fact that this is progressive but catchy and melodic. It's not an easy job to combine those characteristics. Well done.

When are you planning to record this one with guitar?

Aside from the music itself, I'm really impressed with your use of Guitar Pro to compose the whole thing. I have a copy but have never taken it this far. I'd love to hear more about your process.

I've been thinking about making a guide for my process actually. Perhaps on video.

Anyway, here's a half finished product without real vocals. The synth melody is the vocal melody:

https://soundcloud.com/benjamin-storm-linnebjerg/raw-cvisions-synth-vocals

And the lyrics:

I am gazing towards a starlit sky
Chasing dreams across the universe tonight
And I vividly fantasize
That one day I'll be among those dots of light

Clouded visions
Corrupts and plagues the mind
Cold division
It's out of sight and mind
This subdivision
Of body and the mind
Clouds my vision
Forever plagues the mind

Somewhere deep inside
the child in me still dreams
of stars that shine so bright
on every summer night

Clouded visions
Corrupts and plagues the mind
Cold division
It's out of sight and mind
This subdivision
Of body and the mind
Clouds my vision
Forever plagues the mind

And here's one without the vocal melody:

I can't get the first verse vocals to sound right, so that'll have to wait for now, but here's the last 2 minutes of the song.
