Kemper, Helix, Axe Fx, Bias? Options

Ola does a demo using the same guitar part, cab etc. As much stuff as he can keep the same to illustrate the subtle differences in these products at high gain. He even compares a real Mesa IIC+ (the holy grail of high gain) in the mix for reference. I like the AX8 on tone, even better than the real IIC+ which surprised me. Which one do you like?

Reading your sentence above quoted, I realised that Fractal, Line 6 and Co. should stop modeling and start creating their own sounds.

Yeah, I've seen this vid and I'm impressed of Fractal's performance. It's totally awesome how cool that Mesa emulation sounds. I also prefer it even over the original.

I never thought I'd say I liked the digital better than the original, but yup! It just has more cahones and more bite and more overall oomph compared to the real deal it seems. I was as stunned as anybody. The axe fx took the place of the IIC+ in "get list" after this vid

As the previous poster mentioned, maybe they should focus on creating sounds that are just good sounds rather than trying to base them all on amps that folks know and love. I'm not saying get rid of those. They help for sure. It's a good starting place to know your starting with something similar to something you may already know well, like the IIC+ or a 5150 which is the default "djent" block in the axe fx from what I"ve seen so far.

I think all the vendors could come up with their own bespoke models and just them "vendor"+"Descriptor", et. AXEFX_GRIND and we would get the idea
