I'm building my ultimate tone (that's the plan anyway unsure.gif )

I'm still watching that thread.

I've been looking into that myself for a little while now and came across your adventure by accident. I'm almost convinced at this point to get something like Orange's TinyTerror for now and maybe wait to spend some time learning how to not get myself killed building an amp.

I think I'm the only metal player who hates scooping mids, sounds bad to me, maybe I need to experiment more but I like to have them way up with the treble and the bass. tongue.gif

I like having more mids than treble. I dont like the modern distortion that much. Old school DM and thrash is the only distortion sound that I need.

I'm always looking for a better tone, I've never been completely content with my tone, but I'm constantly changing things, improving it a little at a time. I don't think I'll ever find that tone until I get some better equipment, but I'm working on it!

Hahahahaha how uncomfortable is that guitar???

On topic: i bought Digitech DF-7 and that was the sound i wanted, although it took me some time to experiment with all the settings available on it. Anyway i know i will be buying a new amp so i am reayd for another tone change.

I have a pretty good setup. I need to buy a microphone, because my "live" tones are much better (IMO) than what I get from the toneport, which still isn't bad, but I mostly got the thing for recording capability and not tone-ability tongue.gif I have some really great fender blues clean stuff, with a touch of reverb, some nice rock all the way up to high gain stuff. I'm happy.
