I must admit - 2-3 hours is top i can dedicate to guitar these days. University is pushing it to the edge with all the homework and stuff to be done, and i am also rearranging my room so it is more comfortable to work with the video recording. Yesterday i hit the store to get some decent light setup and all i saw was "Inventory" (i hope it's the right word in English) on the door - GRRRR. Today i got some halogen lights to make my videos even better and right now i have to hit the JAVA DEVELOPER to do the homework for tomorrow. I guess there will be no guitar at all for today sad.gif

I'm currently back in the practicing bug, (with lots of support from my Mrs smile.gif ). I'm getting up at 5 and doing 2 hours before work, then 2-3 hours in the evening (amidst putting kids to bed, etc), and at the weekend, 10 hours on a Saturday, and 10 on a Sunday (5-10 am, then usually 1-6pm or 3-8pm).

So weekdays, around 4 hours, and 10 at weekends.

I've got to admit that it's not easy on top of a 40 hour week, but it is worth it, and it keeps me out of trouble... and the pub!! tongue.gif

I try to make sure I get an hour or two in each day, but to be honest once in a while three or four days can pass where I don't even pick up a guitar. I work full-time (and then some), so it isn't possible to maintain a serious practice schedule.

I kinda remember a thread like this back when I first found this site, where one or two people were practicing for 8 hours+ each day. That'd drive me insane, even 3 hours in a single day of practice feels like too much for my taste. Takes it from a hobby and turns it into a job.

Mind you, when I pick up a new song and try to learn it from scratch that seems to bump up my practice time a little too.

I've got band practice two days a week so on those days I play a lot, less so other days. I guess if you average it out it's about 1½ hour every day.
