Great effort man
 1. song> It is nice, but no vocals and that I don't like. If you wanted to be an instrumental, it doesn't sound that good for that. You need more "carpeting" (keys), but that's really a matter of taste in the end. I like those riffs, they do sound dark and edgy dist is decent. The bass guitar needs to be more defined, and that means give it a presence boost and better melody (try not to play the root of guitar riffs TOO often on bass). You're all about guitar but little bass and vocals right? Wrong. When you are building a song you must do everything equally well. You've put guitars in front and everything else in the back. That's not the way things get done. Drum is too generic, try to play with velocity to get more humanize effect. Also I would record all the main riffs doubled to get the stereo effect. The gain channel is little smudged, try to adjust your preset. You don't need to record with that much gain, believe me. When you find a color where you barely can get the sound out of it, and it defined and fat enough, you record with that and not with some high gain generic settings. When you double it, it will sound high gain anyway. SO - less buzzing more defined sound And record some vocals or you don`t really have a song. I like the solo but maybe to long, try to shorten it up, or maybe add to different presets to sound like to guitar battling each other instead of just playing repetative solos over and over.2. song> Well this is not a song, maybe some heavy bridge - intro to solo - solo, but ok. Dark and heavy. Again same advices as for the song 1, but you did some fattening up the riffs with bass using roots. I don't know what color did you use for bass, maybe even a guitar emulated as bass, but it sounds more defined and dynamic that in the first song (at least on my speakers). But Try to add more crisp to the bass, just to have to whole spectre, not just that muddy rootse in the lowmid-low section. ANd work on the rest of the song as well. Nice recordings man, very cool ideas! But like Smurkas said, you really should try and record one rhythm and pan it left and a second rhythm and pan it right, it makes the recording sound much more epic!
