Welcome to the "5 Vintage Rock Licks" lesson. This one is heavily inspired by late 50's / early 60's rock sounds, especially Chuck Berry. These are beginner friendly licks that can easily be moved around to different keys and can live nicely in a variety of genres.
Tone-wise I am using the bridge pickup on my Country Gentleman-style guitar. I am using a simulated cranked Fender-style amp with a little spring reverb.
