Welcome to the new stop in our "Around the World" lesson series!
Take a break in a beautiful part of the world - Polynesian islands! This term include scattered islands of the central and southern Pacific Ocean, roughly between New Zealand, Hawaii, and Easter Island. In fact, the word 'Polynesia' is derived from the Greek word meaning 'many islands'.
Guitar, gourds, bamboo nose flute, Jew's harp, rattles, slit-drum, conch shells, shell trumpet and tapping sticks are some of well known instruments tied to the music of Polynesia.
