  • Hi GMCers,

    Welcome to my new lesson about Dynamic finger-picking.

    I have always been working on the control of the dynamic range, because it brings life to a guitar piece. As you know, there are a lot of finger picking styles, related to acoustic and electric guitar, and this time I will just remind you that the dynamic finger style might sound a bit different compared to playing with the guitar pick .
    A very important element in this way of playing is palm muting. In this lesson I focused mainly on the riffing.

    It would be good to hear some of the fingerpicking guitarists, such as Chet Atkins, Derek Trucks, Mark Knopfler and try to compare their way of playing - they each have their own style.

    Tuning:
    Standard E
    E - A - D - G - B - E

    Techniques:

    * Fingerpicking
    * Palm muting
    * Legato

    Chord progression: E5,D,G,A5
