  • Hi and welcome!

This time, I wanted to make a lesson for beginners which had all of the drama and action of a full blown metal song. You don't need to know all the tricks and have massive technique to be able to play music. Sometimes a simple melody that complements the backing chords is all it takes so this is perfect for those of you who love metal and want to break out into lead playing.

You will mainly be concentrating on shifting your fingers around and getting the timing right. There's some string bends and some medium speed pull offs so it's all very manageable. Notice how there's a few guitar harmonies coming in and out throughout the track. These complement the main lead lines that you'll be playing and it lifts the solo even higher so you really feel as if you're part of something. You only have to learn the main lines in the videos but just notice how cool you feel when those harmonies creep in! Epic or what?

There's nothing left to say apart from grab your guitars and get ready.
There's thousand of metal heads waiting for you to take the stage!

    Tempo: 120bpm

Gear: Marshall JVM 410H OD1 Channel, Orange setting.

    Key: Em

    Scales: E Minor Scale
