  • Hi GMC!

In this lesson I'm going to show you how to read guitar tablature or simply called "tabs". Tabs are easy way of reading (and writing) music. You don't need any previous standard music notation knowledge in order to use and understand tabs. Tabs are found in online lessons, magazines, books. They are extremely popular and make learning the guitar so much easier.

This lesson is split into four videos. The first one covers the basics of reading tabs. In the 2nd video you'll find how to differentiate chords or notes which are played at the same time from ones which are picked one after the other. In the third video we cover what symbols/characters in the tabs mean when they indicate different guitar techniques. The last video presents a conclusion and offers tips on how to get in contact with me through the website.

All in all, reading tabs is easy once you get a hang of it!
Please don't hesitate to post questions in the lesson feedback section, I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have.
