Now it's time to start looking at guitar riffs.
You've no doubt heard the term 'RIFF' but are probably wondering what it means!
In this lesson, you will learn about the following:
VIDEO 1: WHAT IS A RIFF?
VIDEO 2: RIFFS IN COMPOSITION: USING VARIATION
VIDEO 3: INTRODUCTION TO ALTERNATE PICKING
VIDEO 4: USING SLASH CORDS
VIDEO 5: EAR TRAINING
VIDEO 6: EAR TRAINING ASSIGNMENT
VIDEO 7: FINAL THOUGHTS
Before you can get to being a Shred God, you will be spending a lot of time playing rhythm. Unless you're playing entirely instrumental music, most performing guitarists will be playing rhythm around 90% of the time. Riffs are a big part of that so sit down, relax and let me show you what the world of the guitar riff is all about!
