  • Hi and welcome to my new lesson focusing on slides and bends.

Sliding is a really good way to get interesting phrases by just using the same string. Steve Vai is very adept at using this in his phrasing and his licks are very recognisable as a result.

It requires a lot of finger shifting so this lesson will really make your brain work and may even encourage a few calluses to build up too!

    This lesson will improve:

    - Timing
    - Sliding ability
    - Bending
    - Hand co-ordination

Not only that, but hopefully it should give you a few phrasing ideas.

You know where I am if you need any help. Get sliding and bending!
