Great lesson Kris. I've been working on the foundations of my alternate picking and really trying to tighten it up. It's been difficult to get rid of some bad habits and reprogram myself.

In my mind, there is no doubt about what is the most aggressive sounding type of alternate picking: it's what we call STRICT alternate picking.
This type of picking uses a consistent down-up-down-up picking pattern, no matter what.
Warning: this technique is not for the faint-hearted. It does require a lot of practicing time, but the rewards are oh so sweet!
Our focus in this lesson will be on playing three notes per string, UNeven note groupings in other words!
