  • Hi Guys,

Welcome to my lesson No. 56

One of the best concept to build a melodic solo is the Question & Answer principle. This "conversation" between phrases makes the listener curious about your "story".
I made 5 Q&A licks that perfectly demonstrates this technique. On some examples The borders between questions & answers seems to disappear because there are connected in some way but they're still there.

Here is the structure of the Jam track:

    Q&A Intro 0:00-0:05
    | Em79 | % |

    Q&A Lick 1 0:06-0:16
    | Cadd9 | % | Em79 | % |

    Q&A Lick 2 0:17-0:28
    | Cadd9 | % | Em79 | % |

    Q&A Lick 3 0:29-0:40
    | Cadd9 | % | Em79 | % |

    Q&A Lick 4 0:41-0:50
    | Cadd9 | % | Em79 | % |

    Q&A Lick 5 0:51-1:01
    | Cadd9 | % | Em79 | % |

    Q&A Outro 1:02-1:14
    | Em79 | % | Daug/E |

    Have fun! ;-)
