Hi GMC! Welcome to a new Exotic Scale Series lesson. Now we are going to explore the Locrian # natural 3 scale. As in the previous lessons you know that this lesson will be about the chord progression and the modes positions in one octave.
Here we have another locrian scale variation. You will notice that a lot of the Exotics Scales are related to locrian sounding, that's because the locrian mode has the diminished fifth and it's a new mode (originally there were four modes: dorian, phrigian, lydian and mixolydian).
I hope you enjoy the lesson!
Here is the chord progression: C7(b5#9)- Emaj7- Fm maj7- Bbsus2- Bbsus2/C- Bbsus2/Gb- D#m6- Bbsus2- Bbsus2/C- Gb7(b5)- Ab7- C7(b5#9)- Emaj7- Fm maj7- C7(#5).
