Mr. Gilbert Rocker Style (For Beginners)

Paul Brandon Gilbert is an American guitarist. Been born the 6 of November of 1966 in Carbondale, Illinois. It began to play the guitar to the 5 years, and to the 15 it appeared in the magazine Guitar Player next to Yngwie Malmsteen. In 1984 it was changed to Los Angeles to go to study to the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT), becoming instructor to the year.
Their influences go from Eddie Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen to others not so common for a guitarist of this style, like The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Ramones.
One of the fastest guitarists of the world is considered, for that reason it left chosen within the ten first in a survey of the magazine Guitar One. Not only one stands out by its ability in the electrical guitar, but that also executes with the acoustic guitar at a great level, as it demonstrates in its discs Acoustic Samurai and Gilbert Hotel.
It has distributed some factories in video, as Intense Rock - Sequences & Techniques, Intense Rock II, Guitars from Mars, Guitars from Mars II and Terryfying Guitar Trip, where it demonstrates its abilities like guitarist and instructor, teaching to play the guitar with very good sense of humour.
Between its more outstanding students they are Buckethead (Many thought that this era in fact Paul Gilbert), Alan Sosa and Lionel Padrevecchi. Also it has given classes in musical academy GIT of Japan and Los Angeles.

He use Ibanez guitars and have several own models, like the PGM-301. Nowadays no longer it uses guitars with floating bridge, because it prefers the sound of the rigid bridge and the natural vibrato.

This lesson is a composition inspired by the disc “Silence Followed By To Deafening Roar” and was created for beginners! I think that the disc has many very good songs for the study of the style of Paul Gilbert!
The study of this style is very important to create your own songs. We'll use some techniques as Alternate picking, Vibrato, Slides and Palm muting in this lesson.
