  • Hi GMC, today we have something little different. I want to announce a new series called "Acoustic Blues Workshop!" :) This is the first lesson in the series, and they will be divided into levels.

    Level 1 - Beginner
    Level 2 - Intermediate
    Level 3 - Intermediate/Advanced

This lesson is Level 1, and in this one we will do some simple fingerstyle Delta Blues licks!

As many of you know, Delta blues is a very distinctive blues style, one of the first blues styles known. It is mainly bases on shuffled rhythm, fingerstyle technique, thumb bass playing, and voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar, or more guitars and a blues harmonica.
Today we are going back to the roots where everything started, and we will learn some cool licks that can be translated to electric guitar and into any musician's lick library.

Although we will use fingerstyle, it is a very simple stuff this time, and most of the licks can be played with a pick as well, but in order to get that raw Delta sound I suggest using only fingers. Throw in a passionate blues lyrics and voice, and you are on your way to become a bluesman. :)

    This lesson contains:

    - Mississippi Delta Style Blues
    - Fingerstyle Techniques
    - Acoustic Oldschool Blues Licks
